You look somewhat more anime-esque in that outfit, especially the Zara skirt. Awesome! :D

Well, good luck on your midterms! Bah, I'm starting to miss school already :/

I guess you can say that the oh-so-poor looking effects in such local movies are deliberately done on purpose - since it's comedy and all. And what more could the masses want than those 'kengkoy' effects and sounds. Maybe it's also because most of the masses feel it to be the 'Pinoy' old school type of movies, considering that this is a remake of the classic Temptation Island by Joey Gosiengfiao. Anyway, I don't really watch local movies that much and those are my personal thoughts. :) Now, for your questions!

1. Do you watch local movies (of your country) in the theaters? Why or why not?
Excluding indie films, not that much. I find their plots, character personalities, style of execution, etc. to be always in the 'safe' zone which makes them predictable. Hence, makes them uninteresting to watch. But who knows, fellow people might be able to pull off a super awesome movie on a whole new level.

2. Have you seen or atleast heard of this movie?
I stumbled upon scenes of the original movie in CinemaOne in my high school days, but never really got to watch it from start to finish.

3. Just by looking at the poster (first photo), would you be tempted to watch it as well?
Nope, I'm pretty sure this movie isn't aimed for me to watch. :)

I also saw this video earlier on YouTube. I'm no Bieber fan nor a hater at that, but seriously. People from our country really do love hot topics and joining in either sides of the bandwagon, and fighting that fight that isn't supposed to end until the next hot topic comes. Then it will be forgotten like all the others.

I'm sure if you ask more than half of the ones who commented on the video, their responses would be biased and without grounds. Most of them, probably, nakikiuso lang. Somehow, inside that pure heart of yours, it irritates the crap out of you, doesn't it? Lol.

Basing from recent comments, you can clearly see how they jumble different and completely unrelated topics together to arrive at a ridiculous and rather nonsensical conclusion. It makes you want to say to them "Think before saying anything, please?" but I guess they'll shoot you down the moment you say that and never get things resolved. Ah, how I feel such mixed emotions of discontentment and hilarity to my fellow countrymen.

It'd be best to ignore such things if we can't find a solution to the root of the problem. But if the answer shows itself God-knows what it may be, than I am for it if it helps punch in more humility, understanding and objective thinking to such people. With that, life will be more fun, right?

Grysh.com's blogger of the month? Count me in on the list! :D

Anyway, belated happy mother's day to your mom! While you had dinner at Kamameshi House, our fam-bam hit a somewhat similar lunch at Sambokojin Libis. Japanese food - even though it's not authentic - is the shiz! :P

I've had my share fancying on renewing myself from time to time over the years, but what it eventually became was an entity bound to drag me down in everything I do. The change I yearned never came.

Having this notion of old self and new self was fine, but thinking about destroying my old one to renew myself like a butterfly rising from its cocoon, in the end, was just meaningless.

We can't escape our past, but we can face them. However cheesy and anime-cliched that line is, it's true. Experience is also what molds us to who we currently are - we'd be inexperienced nobodies should we throw them away.

So I guess let's just keep on moving forward while cherishing the good things that have happened, and relishing the values and lessons taught by the negative things we have gone through. :D
