Seriously, don't give out that twitter account to anyone who follows your @Jillsmo account. That would be very bad. Not that we're not nice, but that chain of events would end up with either a boot from the PTA or self-editing your blog and twitter, and the PTA would REALLY miss you.

I don't really see the controversy. There is no real controversy unless there's a choice to be made. I don't see a choice here. The diseases that immunizations address are definitely connected with illness and death. Vaccines save millions of lives. We're not going to stop using them until there's a better solution available. As a thought experiment, let's say it's proven tomorrow that a percentage of kids immunized will develop autism. Will I stop vaccinating my kids? Hell, no. If I take my kids to the hospital, I know that there is a proven statistically significant chance that the visit will result in a serious viral or bacterial infection. That's a proven risk. Yet, I take them when they need it, because I balance that chance against the risks and discomfort of the condition that the hospital is treating.

I think you should print out the last drawing in 5x7 and send that. As previously noted, however, I'm an asshole. I completely sympathize with Child 1, I do the same thing in pictures. I almost always look like I"m staring down Clint Eastwood in front of the saloon in my pictures.

When my 4 year old thinks I've said Fuck, whether I have or not, he says. "Dad, you shouldn't say Fuck. Fuck is not a nice word. Please don't say Fuck anymore.", which is a very mature thing to say, and it's really not fair that it makes me laugh. He's like a little potty mouthed saint and when he's mad he says things like "I'm so frustrated, it's not very nice that you're not listening to what I want. Next time, please do what I want." Which is REALLY effective in making us do what he wants. Sometimes, i wish he'd just say 'Fuck', so I could continue refusing to make pancakes at 5:30 in the morning.
