This sounds a little Lord of the Flys for my tastes... I am morbidly curios.

I get so upset about these kinds of things. This idea that if men had their way we would all look like barbies and not have emotions? I don't think this is being fair to the male gender. I would probably light the book on fire before I got past the first chapter. I'm glad you thought it was interesting though! You are stronger than I.

It sounds like maybe the author didn't connect well with the main characters? Maybe they didn't do enough research to be able to write in a narrative style about an experience they haven't had? (hopefully haven't had) Bummer, because I can see where you thought it would be an interesting read.

Oh man, I might actually have to pick up a scary book! The psychological thrillers get me too! I have before, stayed away from them as the movies can actually make me anxious for days after watching, I can only imagine the impact of a book. I guess I am sensitive. I get to the point where I won't look out the windows at night :P
