As a former reporter, I can tell you that even the closest relationships with someone don't always mean things will be kept off the record. Did I ever publish something that was given to me off-the-record? No. But many do. At the end of the day, you are staying out of harm's way by not saying anything that you aren't comfortable with being printed. Better safe than sorry. Appreciate your thoughts on this. Guess we'll agree to disagree!

There are several studies out there showing how media are using social media. Here's the same example I sent to Larry: http://www.journalism.co.uk/news/journalists-incr... At the end of the day, brands (and media) need to adapt to the changing landscapes out there if they want to keep up.

Awesome list, Christine! I mentioned this at a conference (SMIATL) I spoke at over the weekend. There are a TON of obstacles facing agencies and clients, but at the end of the day, a lot of us really thrive on this type of pressure. The people who are passionate about the industry and what they work on, they are the ones who like to be challenged and aren't afraid to think big.
