I'm so glad you felt that way... it's the way I hoped readers would because she certainly made me feel that about her too. She is pretty amazing, but also down to earth and genuine. You should go to her site sometime and read her newsletters about all she and her husband are up to in ministry, her writing etc.

Would you mind if I pass your comments on to her? :)

If you go to my blog at http://wordglow.wordpress.com, I have a category on the right for "interviews." This was a 4 post interview :) and you can find them all there... She is a generous lady!

I knew you were a kindred spirit! I think she is my favorite writer of inspirational fiction! I was blessed to do an email interview with her for my blog... :)

Congratulations on the acceptance of your story! Would love to read it... I love the word "tapestry" too. You are right... rich imagery! Reminds me too of some beautiful books by Christian writer, Elizabeth Musser - a trilogy she has on that theme... Came here from Jennifer's Tell story.....so glad I did! Gorgeous photo of your Okanagan tapestry...

This is such a beautiful post. I love how God speaks His peace into our shuddering fears and longings and how He can use anyone and anything to reach us with his heart and whisper. God keep you and the one you are missing surrounded with His light and love and Psalm 91 promises! Blessings to you today... and to the woman who took off her cross and gave of hope to you!

Your words remind me of what I was trying to say in my own recent post... how God sends us as blessings to each other... bringing His unexpected gifts. Yours is a gift to me today... encouragement always is! :) - Pam, Apples of Gold

Talking them out is so important... you are so right. It's so easy sometimes to read things into something someone said, or to look at them through past as you say. I like your list!

I'm so glad! God just seemed to put that into my heart to share with you today. I don't have children (though always wanted to), but if I did I'd want to do this every day! I wish I could do that for some others I intercede for... :) .

This is heart-wrenching, so so beautiful, powerful, wondrous... so many many words. I thank our Father for picking you as this little boy's mom. For the love you have for him. For the transforming that God will use to heal this child and make him open to you like a rose. There's a beautiful old song I think of where a man is recalling his mom saying to him, "You my boy will blossom, as the flowers below I will be your raindrops, you will be my Rose..." Wish you could hear the melody, but may those words sing in you and over you.

The other night I heard a woman talking about lying down on her children's beds when they aren't there, praying for them, and how God used that to open them up etc. I thought of that reading your story. Pray and surround him in prayer in his own little space, over him sleeping too... and I know God will move wondrously to take away any lingering fears he has in totally giving heart to you.

Blessings on you all.
