http://www.loveveggiesandyoga.com/ : A Day in My Life, Life as an Open Book, Sunlight, Tanning & Vitamin D

I totally understand what you mean about the vitamin D, but wouldn't it be easier/less risky to just keep a sun lamp on in your house? Anyways, that's all I'll say about that since I'm pretty sure practically every single comment above mine is about tanning! I love reading through your blog and finding the recipes you use - the tofu looks awesome, and I'm intrigued about the cheezy dorito dip...although lately I find Dorito's kind of gross, so not so sure about that one! Haha. I do get cravings for them every once in awhile though :)

glad you're okay after the issue with your car! i had a strange light come on once and then suddenly realized that the engine temperature was going up REALLY fast - i had to stop & get the car towed. it actually ended up having something wrong with a belt. the flax oil dressing looks yummy! question about the corn in the microwave: i don't have a problem using microwaves really, but isn't it not so good to be putting the plastic in the microwave?

oh wait, i am planning on getting engagement photos done though. oops. hehe. in my defense - i don't think they're unnecessary, lots of photographers include them in their wedding packages anyway, and i'm not getting them to put in the newspaper! i just want some fun, good quality photos of us in our normal clothes.

elephant journal: Yoga, Sustainability, Politics, Spirituality. : "I will not be meditating tonight." On Family Life as Spiritual Practice.

Thanks for this. I am not a mother but a college music student working to make rent, practicing between 2 and 4 hours a day most of the year, studying for exams, and trying to maintain my own personal organization amongst all of this. It's really easy for me to beat myself up over not finding time to meditate (which is pretty contradictory!). I love the blend of humor & seriousness in this post, and it makes me feel better about my own growing (however slowly) spiritual practice. Thanks :)

thanks so much for the tips! this is my goal too :) i have over two years to plan, so i'm hoping that'll help me out! i'm planning on doing a lot of things myself - like growing my own flowers or making pom-pom or tissue paper flowers, making my own invitations, decorating myself, etc...the one things i'm really really picky about is photography...i don't care how much i spend on that one, it's the only thing that's really going to last forever (other than the love...haha)!

Thanks for this article. I totally agree that the American people are to blame for this oil spill before blaming BP, the Obama administration, or anyone else for that matter. It's a tough situation, and people are constantly searching for someone to blame.
