i like to say randomly placed (and not even awkwardly funny..) insults to people on internet message boards too. really fulfills that neeeed to feel like i'm socializing at all. ;)

I think theChive is hilarious & I enjoy to send in photos that are different than the ones that are often repeated. (I submit countless photos that are NOT "chivette"... that are also occasionally posted)
I guess that's what "being a chiver" is to me. (Am I getting sentimental for theChive?) This website contributes to a few laughs for me throughout my day... And I'm happy to return the favor.
Sure, occasionally they're of me... and definitely, I'd prefer a compliment over an insult. Who wouldn't?
But I am not sending in solely for the "praise" of anyone here.
i mean, i GUESS it could just be me...
But I sure as shit prefer being praised in REAL life for something... a little more substantial?
"Chiving" is merely a hobby.
The comments posted about me hold no significance in how I live my life or how I feel about myself that day. I can find my "ego boost" fix plenty of ways and places other than the internet. Thanks.

They don't phase me. I don't submit to the chive because I want a million comments about how hot I am. I was a nerdy little girl... it's a classic picture that captures the epitome of the nerd i was. And the drunken pic was actually initially submitted for "soo you got wasted."
