Big lies "slay them wherever you catch them" (Qur'an 2:191)
"fight and slay the pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war)." chapter 9, verse 5
You did not have to precise you were muslim by the way !
Don't be fooled by these trolls !

Yes true though the actual quote about their anxiety was truncated because Chase Carey also said in the same interview that News Cor were happy with the redesign.

Plus maybe someone could be interested in buying Myspace for a lower price, they are indeed still number 2 social network on mobile phones and according to Michael Jones there are new features on their way ...
Myspace existed before its acquisition I don't see why it would die if sold ..

You should check the New Myspace feel it is pretty good In my humble opinion !
As you said time will tell but at the moment there is no replacement for Myspace and now you can have 25 songs in your player and unlike Bandcamp unlimited downloads...

Note: il y a seulement 10 000 invitations . http://twitter.com/vonbrucken

That would be better to have both but in my opinion it is difficult to really interact with fans on facebook pages. Unlike the groups of less than 5000 people you can't mass message them and your updates can be easily drown on the main home feed, plus not a lot of people are using facebook lists.
But I see where you are coming and you still can adopt services such as Pagemodo without making it your landing tab, Alicia Keys fan page is a perfect example of this strategy http://www.facebook.com/aliciakeys though she is using Involver for her music (see "music" tab ) it has not been set up has the landing page...
Regards !

Thanks for this article though it seems a little bit like a paid review to me ...
Why because you didn't mention other obvious solutions to make custom band pages, I am talking of course of Ilike, Reverbnation or Involver ....
Though Rootmusic seems like a nice service it doesn't have a crucial thing for bands right now :
a join mailing list function ...
Reverbnation, Ilike and Involver already offer it, Reeverbnation already offers videos for example Ilike and Involver offer custom headers ...

Here are some examples : http://www.facebook.com/pages/Scotty-and-The-Reve... (reverbnation my band )
( Involver ) http://www.facebook.com/aliciakeys?v=app_16311321...
http://www.ilike.com/static/manage (Ilike for facebook)
Though I just registered to this service and though my own facebook page is kind of abandoned not having a proper mailing list system is not a really good thing....
Unlike on Twitter I find the lists management to be impracticable as your updates can be easily drown in all the updates posted on the main wall, this is why it is good to contact everyone by email. Will watch this service closely and thanks for the heads up ;)
