To this day, the Survivors of New Bethany have not been able to get the Bienville Parish Sheriff's Office (BPSO) to take us seriously; but the times, they are a changing. The Statutes of Limitations changed in August of 2012 and when we learned about this change, we began filing complaints with the DA and BPSO. Many more men and women, who were children at New Bethany, will find their inner strength and use their voice to stop the abuse of other children.

We are not children, we did not forget, and we will not sit down, be quiet, or act like "nice little ladies." Mack Ford is not the only abuser and child molester that lived within that 9-10 foot razor-wire-topped fence; he had many staff, who have a lot to answer for. Many of those staff have gone on to pastor churches and work in other homes and jobs that give them access to children. I often wonder about their present activities with children and my soul will not quieten when children are in danger by the same people who meted out such horrific abuse.
