Comic Book Noise : Comic Book Noise 279: Why I Despise Captain America

It doesn't matter to them. They have stated many times that continuity is loose, and it can all be "fixed in post" like they did for Iron Man.

So if, as you say, Captain Marvel and Billy Batson do not share a mind, then what's the point of Billy Batson? I know he plays his own innocent bystander, but if he doesn't truly get to be Captain Marvel, then he's just, what, a walking Marvel Van? Isn't that a less relate-able character if Billy is not driving this super-powerful magic being?

Around Comics - The Comic Book Culture Podcast : S02E03 - Wonder Bread He-Man

Wow, I haven't been here in a while! New look for 2012! You know what I'm wondering? I'm wondering why Tom's getting left out in your goddamn video game playing? So what if he hasn't owned a console since the the Atari? I don't care about the politics of creators, but I do have a problem with writers who are blunt about their views. A recent example for me is when I was reading one of the trades of Locke and Key, and I was being hit over the head about race. I'm black, dude! don't try to teach me, or anyone in your audience, about injustice! In that case, I felt like the characters might as well have turned to face the "camera" and talked to me. Stuff like that makes me feel the same way like someone farting in an elevator does.

Comic Book Noise : Comic Book Noise 241: Exits, Fill-Ins and Free Ideas

So Alan Moore originally came up with the whole Cain and Abel thing? Oh, I just went along thinking that was only in Neil Gaiman's Sandman. I don't understand the whole "fan" issue with you. To put several recordings of your voice out so that the world may potentially listen to your every word is alright, but to acknowledge that people may enjoy it quite a bit is too much? It does make some sense because you cannot gauge how much someone enjoys you, so calling people fans is jumping the gun. However, if someone comes to you and says "big fan" you can say you do have a fan.

Comic Book Noise : Comic Book Noise 234: Young Justice Cartoon

Please let me state that I am in no way attempting to get you to read this book or watch the cartoon. The One Piece series is not always funny, or wacky or silly; it is a series for shounen, so not too many 25+ males will be interested in reading it. There does tend to be some violent fight scenes and some very serious issues, like death. In fact, there is a whole lot of death going on in the episodes of the show (I believe it's at episode 488 at this point) I'm up to right now. One Piece is very, very silly. I like that silly, though. It's probably the most light-hearted show I watch right now. Despite it's silliness, the powers are cool, the characters are interesting, and the villains go from 2-dimensional to complex. In comparison, Naruto is much less wacky, and when the characters were aged, there has been less jokes and slapstick.

I knew you wouldn't like One Piece because "Something, something, wacky." I don't get why it would be considered ludicrous. It's just X-men + Fantastic Four as a youth-oriented comedy.
