The Loop : iTunes 9.2 paves the way for iOS 4 and iPhone 4

Nope it is available in Australia mate ;) Hit software update and it all should be there, also Jim is Canadian(I know this was written by Peter) so I would assume he would pipe up or Peter would have mentioned if it is US only, they're good like that. The iOS4 update is released on US time but has is available worldwide at the same time. I also don't really follow your point at least software wise it seems to me all Apple announcements apply to the world aside from things like the iPhone Apple Store app and when the hardware is announced Apple are pretty good at specifying where it will be available.

The Loop : Hands On: iPhone 4

I think the OS *might* have something to do with that as well. Using the beta and soon the GM Seed the iOS4 seemed to make things just a little snappier on my 3GS not a huge amount quicker but it did seem to work a little quicker. As for the new iPhone, I will have to wait and see how much the upgrade cost will be. My early termination charge half way through my contract is just over $1000 so it may make more sense just to buy it outright.

The Loop : Mac OS X 10.7 showing up, but don't expect much at WWDC

There has to be ways to improve OS X but aside from re doing the core apps I haven't a clue, do you have any inside word on what we might expect feature wise? With every iteration of Windows you can see they're usually glaring UI updates and usability fixes but with OS X they seem to be more on refining the OS rather than the overhaul you see from MS I am not sure if that comes down to the release schedule seems quicker for OS X or if they have just nailed the GUI and are now focusing all their efforts on under the hood enhancement.

I am unsure as to what 10.7 Thunder Cat will offer as I can't really imagine there is much to improve on unless they actually grab all the core applications like Mail, iCal etc and completely re do them.

If you add the iPhone's Satisfaction rating and that of AT&T's you get 100% so thats something right?

The Loop : Steam now available for Mac

Jim, Just playing with it now, seems to work really well, I bought Civilization 4 from them and the transaction was painless and quick. The download on the other hand took about 4-5 hours their servers don't really seem to be up to snuff. It initially kicked off with speeds of 1.0Mb/s but slowly went down to about a 100Kb/s and went down even further but all in all it seems to be a tight little app and works quite nicely.

The Loop : Adobe abandons iPhone app building technology in CS5

So right now this CS5 Flash to iPhone will be out of date immediately to developers(at least the paying ones) and it won't be continually upgraded to fall into line with Apples releases of it's new SDK as and when it becomes available if thats what they mean by 'additional investments'. Surprise Surprise.

The Loop : Apple begins accepting iPad apps for review, confirms iPad App Store opening

Do you think this is going to blow out the approval process again? Also what would annoy me is if there are suddenly 2 copies of each app appearing in a search one iPad app and one iPhone version.

The Loop : MacUpdate Spring 2010 Software Bundle launches

What's with all these bundles coming out? Jesus. In saying that grabbed my copy purely for parallels being cheaper, the rest of the applications are purely a bonus. One gripe for me is the download speed 4 hours for 338 MB? I know I am in Australia but I have already fired up the diesel generator and the internet is running quite quickly down here and the kangaroo has been tied down it still seems rather slow.

I have never wanted to hurt any of the Apple store employees although most are so obliging I think if I had abused one they would ask for more if it would help me. Most of the time I want to hug them which could get me in trouble....

I just don't understand it Jim. It just sounds like any moron can get a job spewing conjecture and hyperbole all over the internet and I am really tired of it, they don't pay any attention to the confirmed facts about the device. I know one of the nice things about the internet is most people can get online and say whatever they want but publications shouldn't be giving them a voice that should be saved for their blog, thats the same reason we don't let the homeless lady with a pet suitcase go on TV and report the news. Jim I have a source, at least I say I have a source yet due to journalistic ethics I cannot reveal my sources. With that being said the iPad will actually be powered with Apple's new Lithium-Plutonium battery with an estimated battery life of ten years, the hours was a typo(sometimes even Steve makes mistakes). When I was having coffee with Steve yesterday though he refused to confirm or deny this then we played ultimate frizbee.
