Well kept wood floors are very lovely though. The wood floors in base housing was old & scratched all up when we were in NY but I got SO spoiled not having to vacumn. It's been so long now, I no longer have nightmares about it anymore. Basements are great to have. That is one of the things I do miss about NY.
