Seriously. It's super frustrating that it has to be witch hunts 24/7 around here.

It's astounding that a community almost entirely composed of stalwart Nintendo fans can so rapidly devolve into something that can only be described as the very antithesis of the spirit of Nintendo.

So many tears Anti. Maybe I mistook your earnestness for sense. I'm glad you were able to clear this misunderstanding up for me.

I'm not sure why you are taking such offense to this that it is blinding your reason. It's abundantly clear based on the rapidity of your responses that you did not give the site a second look and are just trying to defend yourself to avoid admitting you were wrong. You can act like some sort of warrior for journalistic integrity all you want, but be prepared for people like me to call you on your BS.

Is it possible you are looking at this from the assumption that Legends of Localization is either, A) A typical, run for profit "news" site, or B) Run by someone who doesn't have Nintendo's best interest in mind? If so, that is reason why you didn't understand what I meant in my response.

The proprietor of the site, Mato, does not run Legends of Localization in the interest of financial gain. It's a sort of passion project that he does for fun. Not only is he not interested in making money from this sort of thing, but he is also a big Nintendo fan, which is why he fields these questions to begin with. You might as well be accusing GoNintendo or PlayerEssence of posting clickbait.

Yes, I realize you were only asserting the possibility of it begin clickbait, but it is an asinine assertion nevertheless. I am merely trying to caution you from making such accusations in the future, even if you do it in the interest of calming a raging fanbase that desperately needs to be calmed down as a whole.

While I agree with your overall sentiment, I nonetheless find it disappointing that you of all people Anti, who usually does ample research, would assert the possibility of this being clickbait. At the very least have the courtesy to look through the site before you begin inciting people to question its authenticity.

Some of you folks are waaaaay too sensitive. Just because these are Japanese people commenting, doesn't mean you have to take them seriously. Everyone's a critic.

Also, I recommend that anyone who is interested in game localization and translation take a look through the site that Francis linked. The owner of Legends of Localization is Mato, who is known in the gaming community as the man who did the fan-translation for Mother 3. He's a super cool guy and knows his stuff.

Not to mention the game is titled "Mad Men," aka "Madden."

A Romancing SaGa 4 on the 3DS or a SaGa Frontier 3 for Vita would be a dream come true. Even then, the chance of this actually coming to the West is regrettably slim.

A mobile game would be unfortunate, but wouldn't come as too much of a surprise these days.

No one wants to hear it because you are acting like just another mouthpiece repeating something you heard online. If you were to put forth original argumentation which contained even a modicum of industry understanding then people would be much more likely to hear what you have to say. If you just keep saying "fire Iwata," "fire Iwata," then no one is going to take you seriously.

The fact of the matter is, we as end-users have almost no insight into what decisions Iwata is making behind the scenes. We have even less insight than the investors, who are likely just a bunch of random jerkwads who don't know a thing about video games and treat this industry like it's farm equipment or rice cookers that Nintendo's trying to sell here.

Furthermore, as an end-user your experience shouldn't be dominated by Nintendo's instantaneous fiscal trajectory. Feel free to speculate on your company of choice's future and such, but the moment you stop speculating and start saying what should happen or what needs to be done is the moment people stop treating you amiably.

I assure you, if you leave the business to people whose livelihoods actually depend on it, then you will not only be a happier person, but a person who's opinions are met with greater respect online.
