This was a great list and very timely for me. I'm not sure what I would add, this is a great place to start though. Prayer and confirmations (like you mentioned) have played a large role in my adventure as well. I have come to appreciate, welcome and encourage all feedback. While it can make me nervous, I know it's necessary and needed in order to grow. Growing is good and I thank the Lord for His gentle faithfulness. Bless you. :)

I'll give it a go! I think I'll encourage my young lady to join me. Maybe we can even take turns reading them aloud to each other too. :D

an ordinary mom : The Quick Bullet List Kind of Post

I totally understand the busy life thing!!! Whew! Our family will lift your family, and Noah's, up to the Lord in prayer. Know that we love you and cherish you. We are always here for you, for any thing. Your faith and trust in the Lord Jesus always encourages and comforts me (you know how much I tend to worry about my loved ones!). "Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest." ~Joshua 1:9 (((HUGS))) ~traci and family

an ordinary mom : Multitude Monday 371-380 My Mother's Day Edition

Awwwwww, I love all of your blessings! It's so good to remind ourselves of the things we like in our children. Our natural tendency is to focus on the annoying things and that just leaves us grumpy, ungrateful and resentful. I am trying to purpose to look at my child with the eyes of the Father and to consciously think and speak about all the things that are good about my Love. When I remember, I am grateful and I can see more clearly the hand of God in our lives and how He has fashioned her in good ways in spite of me and my weaknesses and shortcomings. He is faithful! ~traci :D

an ordinary mom : Junk Out 5.8.10

Hmmmm....methinks there should be time this week for a good fridge cleaning. I like to shine mine up just before a grocery run which usually means we're out of mostly everything and have had a leftovers smorgasbord for dinner the night before. Sometimes I'm more on top of it and we are better at not keeping bits of this and that around. I figure if we can do our best at having the least amount of waste we're 'winning'. hee hee ~traci :D

an ordinary mom : Busy Spring Days, How Busy Is Too Busy?

I always think of that Veggie Tales song and check my heart. While we aren't terribly busy all the time, getting caught up in other things sure likes to sneak up on you and before you know it the day is done and there weren't nearly as many Eskimo kisses kisses, bear hugs or snuggle times as there could have been. Balance is the key. Training ourselves to make and take the time for our blessings is the other. We only have them near for so long. ~traci :D

an ordinary mom : B is for Believe

It is a constant thing to renew the mind. I know I need all the reminders I can get! The next step is walking it out and my road has has it's fair share of potholes (some big enough to lose a Yugo) yet, I press on toward the mark. I'm glad the journey is spotted with friends (like you) to keep us company and to encourage us along the way! Let's keep on keeping on my dear friend! ~traci :D

an ordinary mom : Sunday Hymn- Rock of Ages

I didn't grow up in the church so learning hymns has been a journey for me, a very fruitful and wonderful journey I fully intend to continue and to nourish and encourage in my daughter. We have been so blessed to find a church who hasn't forsaken the foundations of the faith. Studying and singing these precious songs has only enhanced the music lover in me, hymns are a treasure trove. I am profoundly grateful for having access to them! ~traci :D

I had this feeling something might not be right, so I've been praying for you guys! I'm glad your sickness was short lived. "Deep breath, time to pick myself up, dust myself off, put one foot in front of the other and jump back in right where we are. It’s how we roll, we ordinary moms, right? We get back in the game. We have to. I have to." Exactly! If we don't, no one else will. Well, no one we'd want to! I never thought I'd need to practice being grateful for my daughter and all she does, but I do. Not only that, I need to tell her and 'brag' on her to others including her dads. Glad you're back up on the proverbial horse. Keep on keepin' on my dear friend!! ~traci :D

If it takes 21 days to form a habit, I'm the poster child for how to NOT form a habit! This particular area has been a journey of almost epic proportions, to say the least. The good news is I have signed up for not just the battle but for the war! Let's do this! *puts game face on* grrrrrrr! Hahahahaa... I have come a LONG way. Most days I'm not too embarrassed if someone stops by, but, I still have those days. I'm closer than I used to be, but I can't give up before I finish the race! It's such a blessing to have a friend alongside me to spur me on. Thanks for doing this Ali!! ~traci :D

an ordinary mom : Time To Plan the Garden

Great photos! Our seedlings are growing like crazy!! AND I HAVEN'T KILLED THEM!! I can't believe I actually overcame some laziness/procrastination and got them done. AND I have been pretty good at remembering to water them. We planted onion bulbs last night and finished turning and raking our beds. Pea and spinach seeds will go in today and it looks like we'll need a few more tomato cages cause I went a wee bit overboard and we have about 36 plants and NO room for them all, but we are off to a GREAT start this year! I can't wait to see your progress too!! This is the year! ~traci :D
