I agree with Michael here. I'm not necessarily calling for more regulation however it is a broken system. Businesses are looking out for the bottom line and their solution is to make food as cheap as possible. So they load it up with chemicals/synthetics or whatever other non natural things and they are not healthy for humans. South America is very similar to Europe. They eat foods that are very fatty and high sodium yet they don't have the same health problems Americans face. (A "salad" in Argentina is either lettuce, carrots, oil, and a ton of salt. Or corn, carrots, mayonnaise and a ton of salt.) Its a combination of business practice and culture that dooms Americans.
