Sounds like my cup of tea, I'd be curious to see some inside pages!

Optima lista! Eu tive a oportunidade de ouvir a Orquestra Filarmonica de Atland tocar a banda sonora do Lord of the Rings e foi um dos meus melhores concertos de sempre.

A musica da Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind e' fabulosa!

I've made a similar post a while back about "Movies Better than the Book". I actually included Howl's Moving Castle, but I never really "got" Wynne Jones.

Reviewed Historia do Cerco de Lisboa in English although I read it in PT, since most of my readers are non-Portuguese speakers and a translation is available. But talked about Alice Vieira in my list of books I wish were more known, even though (sadly) no English translation is foreseen.

I'm planning to read Julio Dinis with some friends this year (virtual read-along), and haven't decided what language I'll use to review them. Probably they'll be my first reviews in Portuguese.

PS: There should be a group of Portuguese book bloggers somewhere - possibly Goodreads? No matter in the language we use online, it would be fun. I follow 7 and have a dedicated Google Reader file :)

I like your language balance. Last year I only read 1 in Portuguese and 1 in French. This year I want to make that 5 Portuguese, 2 French and 1 Spanish. By the way, do you review these books in English or the language that you read them in?

I actually thought it was going to be much darker than if was, but was still impressed that it wasn't "sugar-coated". It deserves a movie adaptation, don't you think?

Following the series has made me want to re-read the books as well. I first read them about 10 years ago and now feel like the fan of an obscure garage band who all of a sudden become a hit and everyone's favorite.

Do you think they'd work in an audiobook format?
