This sounds really good. I have read more contemporaries this past year than in previous years. I used to rarely read them but there have been so many good ones! I'll definitely pick this one up to read!

I did read Song of Achilles because I saw your mentio of it on Twitter and I absolutely loved it! I'm so glad I read it!
I haven't read any of the other books though the Gilded Cage is on my TBR list

I just finished this book! Loved it for all the reasons you mentioned! It was such a great feel-good and yet real book!
I'm finding myself still thinking about it, which it rare!

I'm aHUGE fan of WWII. More so than any other war. Not sure what it is about it but that's the one I'm drawn too!
I recommend The Nightingale, Sarah's Key,
For non-fic Unbroken. Of course there are so many more.
