Not good. I spent 3 days titting around with the Tyler then I moved on to something else. And work XD The arms are super long (even after reducing to my measurements) and I think they have way too much ease and I'm just over it. Reminded me once again why I don't sew indie-I'll probably pick it up again sometime because I used so awesome ruddy fabric and I don't want to waste it but let's just say I'm glad I only bought the one pattern while I was there.
Re the fabric I'd say go with the first one-unless you can find some cotton voile somewhere...

YES! To modern simplicity. OMG I love that nothing about them is vintage-particularly the fit/silhouette XD I've already got their Tyler blouse (working on it now) thinking of the Dakota shawl collar dress/ Jamie jeans next.

This is a great idea and I'm provisionally in (in so far as I manage to get any sewing done during term time) but only for patterns I *don't* have to print in A4 and glue together XD
Just contacted Named patterns about getting untiled pdfs for large format printing at the copyshop. Fingers crossed.

Last conference away-he got 4 trousers. Not one fit right. He sent me 20 pictures of coats (Which one should I get?) Darling, I need pics of the coats on you.. XD

Your commenting system is awesome. I can't stand captchas either. I can't understand why people don't just intall disqus, commentlove, intense debate or whatever.

You Sir, are a beautiful person. Thank you for your empathic and articulate response. One point I'd like to make is-true nerds understand the pain of rejection by the minority. All the nerd-Gents I know are polite, kind and social-especially to women. Please don't feel that the hateful people that incited this response are representative of the genre. They're a vocal minority. They're children (either mentally or physiologically). And not very well-behaved ones at that.

Good stuff. I agree with you on the 'there are different categories that require different responses' part. I also agree that a lot of trolling now just seems to be about silencing the minority opinion through fear/ hate. However, it would be good to get some thoughts on how the different responses should be articulated. Also, yea the background music is a bit loud and distracting.
