I cried buckets too. I still remember the flashback episode on how the main character died got me sobbing hard. They were already rescued and he suddenly closed his eyes. F*k you main character, why u made my cry so hard?! XD

yes. that weekly anime lineup from GMA7 made me realize I have a lot of anime I haven't seen before and basically gave me the motivation to always try new ones. i even tried watching anime from a japanese channel our cable apparently has and so I also grew up watching Lamu the Invader GIrl and Sazae-san. Then eventually animax came. GTO, Honey Clover and Chobits refined my tastes but I'm still pretty open to anything.
ah, reading this post gives me nostalgia.

you don't need to be 30 yrs old to watch 500 anime lol. a 12 eps anime can be finished in two days if you manage your time wisely. :p
and yeah, i don't think anyone can really remember all. if someone mentions a certain anime in a conversation, i can remember the premise but that's basically it.
you started out locally as well, right? yu yu hakusho and yakitatte. you've never seen cardcaptor sakura or you don't remember it? XD
my fave moment in yakitatte is the bread that'll send you to heaven. is the monnaco cup arc the one where kazuma wins because his bread is free? XD

this really resembles Doubt, the only manga I ever tried, juding by the picture. I didn't even finish that. is it by the same author or something? the japs do know how to do horror/psychological/suspense movies so I guess there is potential in this one. Did they announce the handsome actors and actresses that will appear in the movie yet? XD

I love the OP and ED song of the anime. I used to have it in my ipod before it broke. I think "Aishiteru" was the title. i was heavy in love with it.
As for the series, it ended abruptly so I didn't like it as much and the dude was pretty annoying for me.

when i saw your post, the first that popped in my mind was Aoi Bungaku.
kokoro made me search for the book and read it. i also love how some directors add their own touch of magic in adapatations. it was the case in aoi bungaku.

i also love Mouryou no Hako. It was designed by CLAMP and it's in my top 20 fave anime. XD
