My older brother and my mother have a story about a station wagon somehow ending up in the bushes of the backyard.

My mother still laughs when he says, "The cat did it."

To this day, my brother still believes that the cat got the keys, started the car, put it in gear, and drove station wagon into the bushes.

I think he's still in therapy...

Does Brent still need something new?

My voice isn't fresh and I don't know that what I have to say is as relevant as what he might be looking for, but I think he might find this one a bit...thought provoking:

There are plenty there already that I hope you don't miss, including this one:

(I'm guessing it's easier to leave the link so you don't have to look them up.)

I remember when I found out, how much I wanted revenge after what had happened to my friend. But, I knew, in my heart, that that wasn't my decision to make. I had been forgiven for so many sins and wanted to share the love and grace and mercy that He had shown me.

So I prayed.

Then, I sat down, opened my Bible, and read the Beattitudes...and my head opened.

And this is what God taught me: http://thenoreaster.wordpress.com/2007/11/26/when...

I do not think that there is very much I have to say about matters such as these, except to say what I have already said so long ago.

-I lost a friend to suicide, in part, because she had been sexually abused as a child. (I discuss that in an Essay called "A Dark & Stormy Night" posted on my blog back in February 2008.)

-About a year or so later or whenever it was, I was sharing The Gospel with an accused rapist and pedophile -- and also praying with that accused rapist and pedophile and with victims of sexual abuse -- all at the same time. (And that one I discuss in "When Lightning Strikes", which was posted way back in November of 2007.)

Guess it's all kind of old news by now...

"Hey man, is that Freedom Rock, man?"

"Yeah, man!"

"Well, turn it up, man!!!"
