I have come full circle and become my abuela and my two blood grandmas, drinking one small cup of Medaglia d' Oro powdered espresso every morning. I had to knock down the caffeine consumption for the sake of my heart and my slow metabolism, so now my late morning/afternoon go-to is powdered decaf. I still drink a well-made espresso out in the wild, but I don't need-need it. Drip coffees like Folgers or even the fancy Merc schnizz hurt my stomach.

I go on tea jags occasionally, and when I'm in the mood I'll have Earl Grey Creme (added vanilla and lavender bits) or green jasmine tea.
