I desperately want to do a Dirtbag Hamlet and be all like "well i thought it stank anyway so there" but to be honest I'm just too sad.

The Toast comment section was the first place I was okay with my sexuality.
The Toast made me proud to be a humourless feminist.
The Toast was the first place I was paid for my writing.
The Toast has been the foundation of a number of my real-life friendships.

Good luck guys, it's been a ride. Be proud of this.

Have a wander around the V&A (Victoria and Albert Museum). It's just enormous and full of curious things - also if you're into your theatre they currently have a free exhibition on set design which I went to and enjoyed, which should be still about during the summer!

I love love love the National Theatre (what are you seeing?) and highly recommend getting there early to have a peruse through the playtext shop and if you planned to eat there I recommend The Green Room over the Terrace Restaurant.

Highgate Woods is a lovely park with outstanding ice cream and the slightly glorious feeling of being in woods in the middle of one of the most densely populated cities in the world.

In response to the couple making out during The Whale, I raise you the couple who during the sell-out London West End performance of People Places and Things, the moving exploration of one woman's drug addiction, kept loudly whispering, speculating whether the lead actor was a drug addict in real life because 'all arty people are, aren't they? It's why they don't have real jobs'.

My foot may have made swift, firm contact with the man's shoulder blade from the tiered seating behind him. I can't be sure.

I went on an actual proper grown up date with a lady as a lady who loves other ladies, aged 21. We kissed (my first!) and I'm VERY pleased and can't stop thinking about her. She really is rather wonderful, but I'm worried I'm beginning to bore my friends "She laughs at my jokes! She writes wonderful feminist plays! Her face is lovely!".

Is this what the rest of you were going through as loved up teenagers, whilst I patiently waited to start to find men remotely attractive? Lesbian/bi/pan/queer/human toasties, advice?

The overture of Die Fledermaus! I always picture myself flouncing into a room with it playing in the background.

Toasties of an academic persuasion:

The deadline for my graduate study application is two weeks away. WHYYYYyy has my last referee not yet submitted the reference he (enthusiastically) agreed to write a month ago?? I have already sent him a gentle cheery nudge email.

I just want to plan my life! I just want to have something to look forward to! I JUST WANT TO WRITE ABOUT FEMINIST LEGAL THEORY *cries, confirming every bluestocking stereotype*
