"Necrophilia" doesn't quite hit the nail on the head for Sleeping Beauty, though I've seen a lot of readings that connect the story to death (most memorably, Angela Carter's ***fantastic*** short story "The Lady of the House of Love," where Sleeping Beauty is actually a vampire-- def read it if you haven't, it's a treat). I think connecting the story to the bizarreness of marriage and childbirth (especially when you didn't choose either of those things) is a smarter, more apt reading and I'd love to hear more about that.
