Instead of an eye for and eye it is a life for a Koran. Why don't the Muslims burn a few thousand Bibles with much publicity? Because they understand, no one would be upset. How many lives would Christians demand in order to pay for the burning Bibles? Zero. Rifleman you are correct, The question should be, "How many enemy lives does an American life cost?" There should have been an overwhelming military response to the killing of our soldiers over the burning of a few pages of paper with writing on them.

Juan William's question to Newt implies that being on food stamps, welfare and any other governmental assistance is less demeaning than having a menial job. Juan thinks poor blacks should say "We are entitled to be on the governmental Dole more than we are responsible for finding a menial job". I wonder what Juan thinks of white people taking menial jobs. If Newt saying the poor should take menial jobs is racist, then what is it when Juan implies only poor whites or hispanics should take menial jobs but not blacks? Newt was easy on Juan. Juan's question reeked of racism. Juan infers that poor blacks shouldn't have to do menial jobs that poor whites should be doing. I'm a big fan of Juan but he is more loyal to his his "I am a victim of racism" view of the world than he is to clear thinking. Newt's daughter being a janitor for a church is a good thing but if she were black, it would be racism. Don't figure. Dirk Lemmons

The real question is, what are the opportunity costs wasting TSA's time and effort on politically correct searches? What real threats are getting by TSA while they are frisking down a little 3 year old girl? Who are these security experts that demand Political Correctness at the cost of missing real threats. Most of us have no problem with TSA groping a potential underwear bomber around his or her private parts if they fit the profile of a muslim extremist. If you told everyone in line for a flight to Anywearville that you suspected a terrorist was trying to board the plane to blow it up but you only had time to search one passenger, how many of you would pick that 3 year old girl to search. If it is our life on the line every single one of us would pick out the person fitting the profile of a terrorist and not some 3 year old little girl. So who in God's name is prioritizing TSA searches. Its all about opportunity cost in the name of Political correctness. Dirk Lemmons

What caught my attention about the attack on the medical workers was that “one survived”. What a lucky guy. “He must be some kind of Afghanistan Rambo”, I thought as visions of him running through the mountains with a hunting knife in his mouth and and AK 47 in each hand filled my imagination. Then I read the true reason for this man escape from the murders. He told the police he recited verses from the Islamic holy book the Quran told the attackers he was a Muslim. Wow! That explains it. It is all about Islam and murdering those who are non-believers. Just think how that would play out in America if we read a story about our soldiers stopping a group of suspected foreigner spy’s. One prays to “Our God” and quotes a few bible verses so he gets to live but the other eight spy’s get shot dead on spot because they are from “that other religion”. What would the press think of this hypothetical? The bigger story in this tragic event is that it is all about Islam. The 8 workers were killed in the name of Islam and the one worker was not murdered in the name of Islam. Dirk Lemmons

The answer to this problem is to allow Gay men to donate blood but mandate that it can only be used by other gay men. This will fix the "feel good" need to donate blood and at the same time keep the high risk blood in the gay population that insist on the right to give blood. The math that follows this proposed system will work out all the other details. I submit that not one single gay will sign off on this idea and that speaks volumes.
