I know exactly which "one particular reason" you're referring to, and it is indeed quite a trip! We also watched Sabrina a while back, semi-soon after we had finished rewatching Who and then watching S11 when it aired, so we had a very similar experience :D

YAASSSS Mark I have been waiting so long for you to get to Bill!!!! I knew you were going to love her. Personally I am not a fan of Clara (in fact I like her even less every time I rewatch the show lol), and when season 10 originally aired it felt like SUCH a huge breath of fresh air, right from the start with this episode! Because I had always wanted to love Capaldi, but had trouble connecting as much with his episodes because I didn't really like Clara's presence in everything. So The Pilot finally gave me what I needed and wanted with Bill, and I just adore this whole season so much (for the most part). It's my favorite Moffat season, I think, and I better stop rambling so much before I inadvertently say something vaguely spoilery! YOU ARE NOT PREPARED
