Yes! I've kinda given up on this show because it seems to just revolve around the same people and story lines now, but I loved it in the beginning when we were discovering new characters and backstories, and I LOVED Ruby. Where has she gone to?

YAAAASSSS! I love a good villain. They're often the most fascinating characters!

I really wasn't expecting to like any of them more than I liked Cinder, because I LOVED Cinder, but damned if Cress didn't blow me away. I thought it was just going to get more chaotic and unfocused as more storylines and characters were added, but they work so well together! Can't wait for Winter.

One of my favorite retellings is East O' the Sun. It's Sun and Moon, Ice and Snow by Jessica Day George. East by Edith Pattou is good, too, but S&M, I&S holds a special place in my heart.

Diamonds and Toads!!! I feel like every time I bring up that story, no one ever knows what I'm talking about. There's a really good short story retelling in the anthology SIlver Birch, Blood Moon (which I can't recommend enough) that inverts the tale, so that the diamonds are a curse, and the toads are a blessing. Really cool little tale.
