The Blazing Center : Who Are You Serving This Thanksgiving?

Thank you so much for posting this. I've been struggling all morning, dreading spending time with my family today. Tryptophan-enduced comas, football games nobody cares about (BLASTED at full volume because they're all going deaf), zero legitimate conversation or even base level care for each other, while my mother works herself into a neurotic fit trying to be Martha Stewart-- that's what the holidays are like at my house. Every year I dread them, every year I spend a significant amount of time crying in my room begging God for a different family-- somewhere far away, like Australia... or Pluto... or Middle Earth. Thank you for challenging me. I have no idea how I'm going to be able to engage my family this year. I'd like to start by throwing the television out the window, but I have a feeling that's probably not the best way to be Christ to my family this year. Suppose I could hide the A/V cords though...

The Blazing Center : What's Your Favorite Cold Remedy?

A mug of grapefruit juice - as hot as you can stand to drink it, with honey and lemon to taste. A little bizzare, but it sure works! It's like a mega-boost for your immune system. Plus the honey is great for a sore throat/cough.

Be sure to totally ignore the concept of time signatures, because let's face it, all worship songs sound better when they're morose and dirge-like.

That was awesome. There's a mancave in our basement. It's enclosed with these bamboo horizontal blinds all the way to the floor, but I think those plastic beaded curtains would be way cooler. I think it's mostly filled with hunting gear and extra seats from the minivan, but I can't be sure as I never go in there. Also, you should consider investing in a lava lamp.

The Blazing Center : Win a Copy of Sojourn Music's "Over the Grave"

My soul is starving for good music that is theologically rich, mentally and musically engaging, and doesn't sound like everything else.... and above all else, something that draws me into worship. If you think this CD fits the bill, I trust your judgment and would love to own a copy. Pick me please!
