Life360 Now : Sunblock Bans?

"All these years, I have been blissfully unaware that California is the only state where sunscreen is allowed without doctor’s permission. . . . . . As I mentioned before California is the only state that requires a doctor’s note to apply sunscreen, so I’ve never faced this issue as a parent or an educator." This article has me very confused. Does California require a doctors permission or not? And is this saying that other states do? And with the title, is sunblocked actually banned?

Thanks for interviewing Angelia. I love hearing about her. Angelia - You said something very important, I think, you learned it is ok to be happy. I believe you are right.sometimes people might not feel worthy of happiness or feel guilty about it because there is so much suffering in the world. Wow! Interesting. I LOVE flourish! I admire Sam Wise, to me HE was the true hero. You had better let me know when you visit Big Sur!

The Daily Blonde : Blonde Football 101

Blitz and Pre-Season game were my favorite. Thanks. I think football on TV now is cool (not that I watch it, but when it is the only thing on it shows on the screen while we turn on the DVD) the way they have the lines on the field to show you where the downs are or whatever. I thought that was nice. I think that helps people that aren't really "into" it enjoy it more with the people that are. This was funny, Honey.

The Daily Blonde : Blogging in My Head

I wrote too much. I kept chopping and chopping, but still too much. I want to express the most sympathy EVER in regards to your allergies. I totally know what that is like. Let me commiserate with you, not only are you suffering the symptoms of your allergies---which are awful--but it wipes you out, right? I mean, it is sooooo exhausting. It is as if your body is trying to fight all the allergens off and just leaves you a crumpled sniffling, sneezing, aching, red-eyed, drippy nose, stuffy head pile of ick on the floor. Sigh (and I sigh not out of emotion but necessity because I can't actually breathe through my nose.)

Ha! I thought the same thing as Judy. I didn't realize Tiger Beat was still around. I love this post. I do think of blog topics that never get written because my blog is geared toward my business and not just a blog of what I think. I squeeze my thoughts in every once in a while, but not a fraction of what is going on in my head. I do miss your blog posts. I love seeing your posts on FB and places. You are funny. I understand about needing food though. Just know that the Pruitts over here on the other side of the nation LOVE YOU and think about you and always wish you and your family well!!! MUAH!

Well, its been a week. I hope Maxx is feeling better. I think it was really cool that you flexed your budget (I read a post somewhere that you paid extra) and got him the waterpoof (resistant?) cast so that he can have a water filled summer. YAY MOM! Hopefully THIS weekend will be hospital free! :-)

The Daily Blonde : The Big Ugly

They have actually improved the look of them over the years. I have always wanted to get the MBTs to see how they are, but there were very unattractive and $250.00. So both of those things kept me from buying them. But now so many other companies are making similar shoes and making them different looking and selling them for less. I might get some one of these days. (BTW, 9---if the company wants to give you a pair for free, you wear a nine. wink, wink) The boots they make are kind of cute, but even more expensive! Weather they give you a good butt and legs they do really work your "balance muscles".

The Daily Blonde : Kotex: Making PMS Fun Again

Oh SNAP! I almost died at the end of that video. Double jeopardy. That video was too much. I get what I call GFS. Its Gimped Fly Syndrome. So weepy that if a gimped fly walked in front of me I would feel bad and cry. I don't get grumpy just weepy. This colored tampon stuff is one of the things that make me think, "No wonder other countries don't like America." I mean there are girls in other countries that can't go to school and/or are sequestered to a hut because they don't have feminine products and here we are with fashion colors. The commercials for these are funny though, have you seen them? But what a waste of . . . . .everything involved to produce a colored tampon. Maybe --- since you are reporting they cost MORE than plain boring white ones --- maybe if that overage actually went towards buying products for women in other countries, maybe then it would be worthy, but . . . . really who came up with this? And who agreed with it? I keep trying to think of a reason for this and I just can't come up with anything except that it gave you something to make fun of.

The Daily Blonde : Memory Loss

Thank you for the update. I remember seeing somewhere (I can't remember where) that you had said it went well. I thought that was GREAT! I am glad it went well. I think that sometimes we just get information overload and we forget stuff. I am the stereo-typical person that walks into a room and can't remember why? Then I get five steps out and remember, then I turn back and a I am so busy thinking how bad it is that I forgot that I went into the room to get the----what? What I am I doing in this room again? Geez. It is an endless cycle and what scares the joy out of me is that people that are older keep saying it gets worse. I am so convinced if it gets worse I will forget to breath!

The Daily Blonde : The 15 Second Rule

EVERY TIME I hear about the ridiculous "stuff" that parents have to deal with when working with schools, I say to myself, "And that is why I am glad I don't have kids." I think that schools have become the battle grounds between parents and school bureaucracy. When I was in school (and here in CA it might be different, but) The ONLY reason, THE ONLY REASON they care that your child is in school is because that is how they get their money. Good think you practice the 15 second rule and were able to apply it. Because even though the school has some ridiculous policies and they sound as if they are really not very good educators, you were able to take the higher road. Too bad you just can't take him out all together and get him into a better school.
