SPOILERS ~ I will try and answer your questions ~ Let's see, she slapped a demon dude because he was being a dick and insulting the person he possessed/killed (saying the person he possessed was an idiot for trying to live and should have just died instead of being a pathetic loser who parents didn't love him and his girlfriend broke his heart yadda yadda - he was being such a prick D:). Yuiko went into the memories of the person who was possessed and saw the struggle he went through so hearing some dick insult the possessed person was too much so she slapped him and shojo speech-ed him xD And Yuiko was stabbed trying to save someone because the person was weak and was about to be killed but she jumped in the way to take the hit ~ (and she still had enough energy to shojo speech xD) Now to the people dying ~ the parents died because no one in Japan can drive lol <- based this off most shojo (their deaths were just unfortunate ones). The BFF died because she held a shard of Yuiko's soul. Two of the requirements for Yuiko to acquire her soul back is she needs to have some sort of connection with the individual and she needs to be able to help them with their problems (<- not sure why lol). When Yuiko became friends with the BFF, she satisfied both requirements (she became her friend (1) and the BFF confessed she was lonely because she was unable to make friends but now she has Yuiko so yay ~ (2)). When Yuiko got her shard back (that randomly twinkle scene), this resulted in the friend dying. I can’t remember why exactly off the top of my head but the shard is what is keeping each keeper alive. Once the keeper gives up their shard, they die soon after (the main characters don’t find out about this until the end of the story). It’s a fate the keepers can’t escape. The shards are attracted to Yuiko because she is their “home” pretty much. The shards want to come together and form a whole soul again (this is how Yuiko comes into contact with all these individuals). With each shard she gets, Yuiko becomes more and more whole – meaning she gets a personality and becomes more alive (right now she’s pretty much just a walking shell (since she has no soul pretty much) – this is why people keep joking in the beginning about how she is like air ). To the bishies! White Hair bishi was too focused on his goals to realize he had problems until the end of the story. Once he started to fall for Yuiko (1) and believed eating her maybe wasn’t the best path to take, that’s when he finally confronted his problem (2) which resulted in him realizing oh shit I have a piece of her shard and he dies shortly after (in this case, he died because he did not get his “meal” which relates to that cannibalism x God thing I mentioned in my previous comment). Angry childhood friend doesn’t die until the end because even though he has a shard of Yuiko’s soul, he had a spell cast on him that kept him alive. However, by unleashing this spell (supposed to do some cool attack), it will result in his death (and yeah, he unleashed the spell in a final battle thing = dead…but with a twist). So there were reasons the bishies were kept alive in the end. (Shuran and whatshisface don’t die because they are forgotten pretty much xD) Even though there were reasons…I don’t know. The story lost air in the end :,< I liked watching Yuiko get a personality and seeing White hair bishi fall for her but…then it just felt rushed when the shota demon appeared :< Lol long post is long xD (sorry for blahing so long - this was one of the first manga I've ever read so the information stuck close to me (until the end - I stopped paying attention at the end haha))

Haha, when I saw your comment about reading Zeele Sacrifice soon, I had a feeling you wouldn't like it xD There are reasons for why the girl is like she is ~ I'm not sure if they got to it in the manga scans or not ~ but she gets a personality as the series goes on ~ However, I don't think it's the kind of personality you'd like xD She's more passive aggressive instead of guns a blazing ~ (but she bitch slaps someone ~ and gets stabbed but that doesn't keep her down ~ 8D) SPOILERS Oh, and don't worry about the bishies not dying. They will. EVERYONE pretty much dies by the end o__o (did they explain why the friend died yet? There is a reason). Ah this manga ~ I really need to get the second volume. I skipped so many chapters in the middle, then read like the last 3 chapters xD I'm told the book & drama CDs are actually a lot better than the manga adaptation. It's funny you don't like the main girl because for me it was her sister that ruined everything. That bitch was nuts. OMG, seriously mental that one. The main girl's BF was indeed a sweetie ~ him and her bunny guardian <3 I just noticed but are you reading all the available Comic Sylph manga out there? xD I'm totally expecting to see Zeele Sacrifice here next.

Oh wow, it's been a while since I read Iris Zero. I remember reading it for the main guy and his friend. Power of friendship, man : A : (I'm such a sucker for those kinds of things). I kept thinking I was reading a less hawt version of Spiral. Mostly I think because of the main girl's hair and because of the main dude's attitude ~ I really need to catch up on this xD I ended at like chapter 5

OMG when Spanky appears <3 8D He's the reason I read Shinigami Doggy. The part where he quotes wikipedia when giving a definition of what a yaoi fan girl is what won my heart over ~ (He's name isn't really Spanky BTW. I think it's Yuugo or something like that) The main guy is alright. He gets kind of annoying in the middle but when he finally stops being so resistant to the fact he's cross-dressing and being possessed by girls whether he likes it or not, the story flows much better ~ Glad you like ~

Yesshhhh, I'm not the only one who feels that way about the heroine. It saddened me by how like...useless her character was D: She can beat the guy up but heaven help if someone is attacking her! Everyone else is love~Esp Bucket Head but his character gets kicked to the side most of the time : A : I really liked brother of the main guy. Lol, dude has been reading too much Twilight is all I'm going to say xD I only read the last chapters of the series. Interesting but the ending kind of failed...

I liked the first chapter I read in Comic Gene but I'm going to hold off reading until I see a "THE END." I was reading another series by this author called "Dragon Eye" but he put the series on hiatus due to health issues (like right at a cliffhanger too). I'd hate to experience the same thing twice D: Hopefully this ends well ~ (lol I'm already thinking of the ending and it's like not even 3 chapters long xD)
