We have two books in common today—THE BOOK THIEF and THE HUNGER GAMES. I haven't read THE ROAD or I probably would have included that one, too. GONE GIRL is a great pick that I didn't even think of. Nice list!

I'm not much for book-to-movie adaptations. If I could guarantee that they would be 5-star watches, though? Hmmm ... there are probably a lot I would like to see adapted. I couldn't think of any when I wrote my list, though, so I had to go rogue this week :)

I'm excited for BURN OUR BODIES down as well. I've never read anything by Blake, but I like Southern/Louisiana books, so I might have to give that one a try.

Except for Kelley Armstrong, I haven't even heard of most of these authors. I do love Armstrong's Rockton series. Her fantasy/paranormal books don't interest me, but I do like her crime fiction.

I'm not into sports at all, so I tend to avoid the theme in books. I don't know why, especially since I love all the reasons you listed. Maybe I need to give the sports genre a chance. You may have convinced me :)

I'm not a huge fantasy reader, but I do love Brandon Sanderson. He's got such a talent for building unique, interesting worlds. If his books weren't so dang long, I'd read a lot more of him :)
