True enough. My point was just that it isn't binary, seeing as binary is strictly 0 and 1. No other digits exist in binary. Just like you have to have A, B, C, D, E, and F as digits when representing hexadecimal. A number system only contains digits within its set, and there's no way to use other digits within it. Your 3 digit computer is theoretically possible from what I understand (in fact, quantum computers work in a somewhat similar, albeit much more complex way), but wouldn't be terribly practical if you simply made a 3-way switch. But yeah, I get what you are getting at, just saying that using a 2 in binary is wrong.

My point is, its no longer binary if you use 2. That's like saying infinity is a real number. Also, computer code never looks like a waterfall of alphabet soup (Matrix style). I'm a programmer, so I do know a fair amount about binary and code. Funny of course, but still wrong :)
