There has been a lot of upheaval in the Muslim world, but it's because there is a lot of turmoil in their ranks, which is no different than the Protestant reformation in Christianity, or any number of other political and religious conflicts within the Christian religion. The Arab Spring is one of the greatest movements we have seen in the region in decades, yet people like you consider the rise of freedom to be problematic. People like you won't be satisfied until we are all sitting under a Christian regime.

You wanted atrocities committed by Christians against Christians, and I presented you with clear, distinguishable examples commonplace in American history books (i.e. 30 Year's War), yet you refused to acknowledge that Christians have brutalized Christians for centuries, and you can't find me one example of mass murders of Muslims upon other Muslims in the name of religion. I know they exist, but you have yet to provide me specific examples, nor that those numbers come even close to contending with the millions upon millions of Christians slaughtered by other Christians in the name of God.

So you are equating Salafism to terrorism? Conservative Islamic views do not equate to fundamentalist terrorism. In fact, if you knew anything about Islam, you'd know that violent jihad is very radical and NOT conservative. And Sharia, by the way, is not a set in stone legal system contrary to popular American conservative belief, all Sharia is is rules to live your life by which is interpreted quite differently all over the Muslim world. Christians, by the way, have their own set of rules, it's called the 10 commandments in case you forgot, in addition to the various guidelines set forth in the Bible which are clearly defined in every day society by Christians (aka, homosexuality is evil).

Sunni Muslims, as opposed to Shi'a, believe that those capable of spreading the word of Islam, should come not from the ancestors of Muhammed necessarily (which Shiites believe), but from those elected to fulfill the job the best.
