What is this thing you call "The Office?"

Dammit, Kris, they better not be reciting a recipe for Cthulhian brownies...

I don't know what's more disturbing here -- all those bats that will probably die because they can't take flight from the ground, or all the people walking so casually by and around them.

I do have to wonder how much Broodhollow needs someone like Zane, with his belief of the Pattern, in order to sustain and nourish it -- and how much Angstrom's role plays in keeping Zane here. I'm also curious how much of Zane's particular neuroses may be hereditary.

I'm looking forward to seeing the final artwork, but I also kind of like this little glimpse into your staging process.

And as someone with a Master's degree in Psychology, I've rather enjoyed these little back-and-forths between Zane and Angstrom. I think you've really captured the counseling relationship well here, without falling into tropes and clichés. I'm looking forward to seeing how that plays into the events Zane experienced.

Hm, that might do. :)

Another possibility is that his particular set of neuroses, amplified by his terror, make the bats seem more demonic than they actually are.

Personally, I'm hoping for a more Lovecraftian explanation.

I stopped using CommentLuv quite a while ago. I got tired of their code constantly breaking the commenting system on my sites. I love the idea behind CommentLuv, but I just can't support the use of it anymore.
