#1 One position on Climate/green is to accept that it's full colour complex and there are lots of facets
#2 Another position is simple and comfortable, that is to see all Climate/Green as one great blob to believe in .. and then label anyone else who dares challenge any aspect : as an UNBELIEVER

It seems that @Renard is in the second position

Like @ItDoesntAddUp this makes me sad and ashamed to be British

Anyone thinking of investing or doing business in Swindon woulld find themselves in the land of PR green dreamery, magical thinking, and never ending subsidies
They'd get told 'diesel is great it saves CO2' , then after they'd built a diesel factory they'd get told 'on no diesel is evil, you have to close your factory'
... they'd be better off investing in another country where real world maths apply
..since almost all UK politicians across the parties voted for the barking mad Climate Act..

The only firms investing in Swindon would be mafia after green subsidies and sell the hot potato on as quick as they can.

Now it is possible that @Renard is putting on an act to please the kids
... but they won't thank him, cos most grow up out of Green Religion to understand real world maths.

Those that don't won't thank him either , cos they turn in to fundamentalists who scream against waste to energy, nuclear power and against replacing dirty coal with clean fracked gas.

Praise be to the the few politicians across Tory Labour who do call out bad facets of green dogma.

For background on why gas is essential see this https://notalotofpeopleknowthat.wordpress.com/201...

Looks like trolling to me
..cos such BBC progs are just unwatchable/unlistenable they are so rigged in favour of the metro-liberal groupthink
The Green Party Dimbleby's shut down the other voices as quick as they can

I quote Michael Urry :
\ When the International Investors Group for Climate Change was set up
the original Chairman was Peter Dunscombe who was also Head of the BBC pensions investment department.
The problem of the BBC’s attitude to climate change is all to do with money -just as is the case with our Universities. //

Tosh, the whole idea of 'false balance' is a mean trick
for NOT covering people that challenge LibMob holy dogma
.... this blasphemy is not allowed.

'Oh look this one small boy says there's a problem with the emperor's suit,
yet all the 97% of courtiers say it's just so fine
... so don't let this small boy speak it's FALSE BALANCE !'

e.g.When on Nov1 the Ocean Heat paper came out the BBC rushed to cover it
One sceptic Nic Lewis quickly pointed out mathematical errors with the paper, which shows that the process of peer review had failed.

The BBC and MSM media weren't about to air those flaws before the US election on Nov 5th

So the BBC waited 3 weeks and then disappeared that webpage version by stealth editing it to have a completely different title and text.

I agree with Montford & IDAU
the problem with 100 % localism is that it is vulnerable to devious scare campaigns by subsidy suckers and foreign governments etc.
Kids should have a say in family affairs, but you can't give them a veto
What you end up with is a country where there are no prisons, no steelmills etc.
The gov acting as parents has to be able to say, we welcome your input but this is in the national issue
..and as compensation there should be cash or another decision that does go your way
