I picked this up at BEA as well, but based on your review, I'm probably not going to read it. Man, I've been really disappointed with my book load from BEA. It looks like Anne read all of the decent ones. I also didn't realize this was a series - I've been trying to read more stand alone books, just for my own sanity. Arg! The premise seemed very promising...oh well.

I've been meaning to go through my TBR list for a while, but it always gets bumped to the bottom of my to-do list, lol. Some of these are new to me, so I might have to check them out!

You should definitely check out A Discovery of Witches! I read/listened to the entire series last year (mini reviews to come) and really, really enjoyed it. The series takes a scientific approach to the paranormal world - which I found very interesting compared to other vampire and witch series. And, they are turning the books into movies! Let me know what you think if/when you read it!

Great list! Most of these are new to me, but I've heard great things about the Dresden files.

Vacations are absolutely necessary but sometimes it's really hard to get back in a routine. But, I hope you enjoyed Cape Cod! I've never been but have always wanted to see it.

Most of these are new to me, but The Martian sounds really interesting and the cover is stunning. I have the Lunar Chronicles on my TBR list, but haven't been able to tackle the series yet. I'm glad you have enjoyed them. I keep hearing nothing but great things.

I read P&P for the first time five years ago, and I've been meaning to reread it. However, with so many other books on my TBR list, it'll have to wait a while. I'm glad it was as enjoyable the second time! I can't tell you how many times I've watched the films :-)

Little Women will always have a special place in my heart. My Grandmother gave me her old edition when I was younger and I still have it. I had to beg my local librarian to try and piece it back together, since it was so tattered, but it has a special place on my bookshelf.

Due to the length, I've been saving Outlander for my summer reading list, but I'm glad you weren't disappointed by it!

I had to read Watchmen in college and even though I can't quite put my finger on it, I wasn't a fan. Furthermore, I thought the film adaptation was disappointing as well.

Great topic!

Harry might be brave, but you're right, he couldn't have gotten where he was without Hermione's brains (and Ron's brawns). I know Harry acknowledges that a few times throughout the books/movies, but she really should be given more credit!

It's been a while since I've read THG series, but I feel like Peeta's underrated intelligence comes across more in the films. You're right, he knows how to play the game, whereas Katniss' plan is always to go in guns blazing. Which we all know, doesn't always work.

Wow, great list! Pretty much all of these are new to me with the exception of Kurt Vonnegut and Agatha Christie. However, I have yet to any of their work.

Excellent goals! Anne and I want to participate in NaNoWriMo as well. I love going to book signings and meeting some of my favorite authors, but unfortunately most tend to stick to the east and west coasts. You should start a fairytale challenge, I would totally do it with you!

Great list! I keep hearing great things about the Legend series as well. Anne and I are actually going to an advanced screening of Divergent, tonight! What have you thought of the Divergent series so far? Anne and I were both a little disappointed.
