Firmware 1.04, but i'm not using AF very often and not in low light, so i'm not the best one to answer that question.

LV is slower but not too bad. When it's raining too hard i use my K20D, if not i use a plastic bag on my K-01 since it's not Weather Resistant.

The only thing is that the batteries are drained faster since it's obviously always in LV, so i keep 2 spare batteries in a warm pocket inside my jacket.

-16C is not that cold for a Camera, i've shot with my K-01 and K20D in temperaturesas low as -30C without any problems.

Well, i'm not talking about quantity of lenses sold in a year but IQ. I've owned several Pentax lenses since i started photography but also Tamron, Sigma,Sony and Canon lenses. Pentax are as good as my Canon lenses but smaller !

I don't know why people are always complaining that Pentax lenses cost more than Third party lenses .... it's NORMAL ..... same thing for Canon, Nikon and Sony their lenses cost more than the Sigma and Tamron and it's NORMAL so why Pentax should sell their lenses cheaper , they are at least as good as the other lens manufacturer !!!

Michael,
i don't necessarily compare both lenses, i wanted a lens with good AF and there isn't one availabe. Sure you can try find a Pentax FA*400mm/5.6 but it is overpriced and it's screwdrive. The Pentax-67 M*400mm/4 is a great lens and took some great shots with it but wanted something AF and smaller.
Well, the price of a K5 IIs and an FA*400mm/5.6 woud be much higher BTW,
I like Pentax, but it's what i wanted to do the job for now, if Pentax ever come-up with a TC-1.4X and a 400mm/5.6 then i would take a look at them but that could be in 2 or 3 years even if the TC-1.4X comes to market in 2013 ???
