There are days that are just hard. Someday last week (maybe? time has zero meaning for me right now) I got up at 5:30 to do yoga and I just wasn't feeling it. I did supported fish, then rolled over and went to sleep on my yoga mat. When that got too uncomfortable, I went back to bed and slept until 11:30. I couldn't tell you what happened to the rest of the day either.

Today, I decided to play some Chris Ledoux, and that was a good decision!

Sorry to hear about the law school, but it didn't sound like you really wanted that job. You had a different application out too, right?

That's a good idea! I bet I could get close to the jacket and I could probably do the skirt on my own. This could be exciting...

possible spoiler alert.
I am watching Shadow and Bone on netflix. Not super committed to it, and couldn't actually tell you the plot in any amount of detail, but it's pretty. I am not a cosplayer, but in last night's episode (#3?), Alina (main character) wore an army uniform that looked like a dark green wool with a stand up style collar and long Edwardian-esque walking skirt. She's wearing the jacket in several pictures, but I couldn't find any where she was wearing the skirt. I guess it was the dress uniform for her to meet the king, because every other time it is worn with pants. And I like it with the skirt, even though it is not a thing I would ever wear and is outside of my sewing capabilities. But I really, really want it. A lot a lot. It's actually a bit weird.
Jacket is shown in first photo here: https://www.insider.com/shadow-and-bone-author-le...

I don't have any resources, but I am sorry that you are going through this.

After Mom died I found some undeveloped rolls of film. I was able to develop all but one, which is still sitting there. I took it to a camera store and they said only a few places online will develop that particular kind of film now.
One roll was black and white portrait-type photos of my dad's family from 1974. I put guesses as to who they were, but just kind of stuck them away. Now that Dad has died, I'm annoyed that I didn't ask about them. I think he must have been in a history documenting mood when he did that roll of film because there were also photos of my mother's grandparents' house (where her father was raised). I only remembered it as a shell of a house where they parked wheat trucks, so it was a little weird to see it intact.

That is a quite a story about your interview. Thanks for sharing. HR things are weird. I guess it makes sense to them, but in my experience, it's always been a bit backwards.
I'm just now putting my toe out there after a year and half of unemployment, so a little perspective on how employers think is good to establish/remember (?) before I get upset about it.
