I would read the book and be honest. If they cannot handle honesty, they should not try to write... but I can understand and appreciate the awkwardness of this dilemma.

I find that my reviews tend to be better if I write them right away after finishing the book. I also try to take notes to aid me in writing the review. Now, that being said, I do not always post my reviews right away. I save them as a word document and create the blog post later and schedule in advance when they will post. Great discussion topic.

Great review. That fact that you said this was very real for you, makes me want to read it more. It has been on my TBR list for a while now. I think it is funny you have an emergency kit for the cats, but not the humans. I always worry about my animals in an event such as this. They are so vulnerable. One thing I always think though is that, hey I have a mode of transportation and horsepower that does not rely on gasoline! of course, only the boyfriend's horse will tolerate saddle bags and pull a load... Pissy Kissy carries waters bottles and that is about it.. perhaps I should work on that...
