The Blazing Center : I Think I'll Just Be A Normal Christian From Now On

I heard Jim Cymbala voice very similar ideas last Tuesday at his church. Labels divide and separate. I want to focus on the things that unite us, draw our hearts together, and put us in the same family. Thanks for the great posts. I look forward to reading what you write every day.

LeadingSmart : This Book is Worth Buying--but I've Got 100 Free Copies

As one of the pastors in State College, PA, I'm in a rural town with a major university in my backyard (Penn State). We're praying, asking God to transform our town and the university. I'd love to get a copy of the book. SInce I'm comment #130-something, I may have to go purchase the book, but it sounds like it'll be worth the investment!

Stuff Christians Like - Jon Acuff : Why worry? (A giveaway.)

I worry about televangelists, knowing that they will be judged more severely due to their over-use (dare I say "abuse") of aerosol hair care products, which ultimately resulted in the hole in the ozone layer, leading to global warming, which melted the polar ice caps, leading to world-wide tsunami(s) and flooding. Think about all the musty, moldy boxes of vinyl records, used books, and out-of-style clothing that will have to be sorted through after the basement is rocked by water, and all because of the televangelists.

Stuff Christians Like - Jon Acuff : Huge Rap Giveaway!

My first concert was either Jerome Olds (he's the father of 3/5 of Family Force Five) at 6 Flags in Hotlanta.. Or possibly Newsong, just after they made the change from Southern Gospel to CCM--they used to come to our church every year. The last concert was WinterJam, less than 24 hours off a flight back from China. We took our just-adopted daughter (and the rest of the fam), and she had no idea what was going on.
