Dumb Little Man : 7 Mental Mistakes That Stop You From Living a Life of Freedom and Peace

But society *expects* us to feel a certain way, and anything else is not "allowed." It's why we have a population of people so dependent on anti-depressants. To feel any way besides happy is seen as somehow wrong; a problem that must be fixed. We're not allowed to be sad or upset without being labeled with some type of psychological disorder. Anger, frustration, stress, hate, sadness, etc., are all natural human emotions that we should all be allowed to feel without social pressures not to feel that way, as if there is something wrong with feeling that way. I'm not sure where I'm going with this, so I'll stop here. But I'd be interested in your thoughts.

You Have More Than You Think : No, Everyone Shouldn't Go to College

I think you're off-base in your suspositions: http://www.bls.gov/emp/ep_chart_001.htm But I'd agree that not everyone needs to go to college.

Well-Heeled, With a Mission : 5 Year Travel Plan: Making Your Travel Dreams a Reality

I'm not sure what your expectations or requirements are but I just think you can do those trips for far less cost and turn your goals into reality much sooner and more inexpensively than you might expect if you are willing to sacrifice a little luxury.

Please do not take the following statement with offense but: Are you kidding me??? I travel somewhat frequently and have never, ever had those kind of expenses. Your methods of travel must be considerably different from mine because on $7,000 dollars I could probably spend a couple of months traveling all around Europe or Asia. If you really want to visit these places, you could do so on a much smaller budget and still have a great time. I guess it just depends on what your personal demands are. I have no problem with sleeping in hostels, etc. I'm not there for a bed, I'm there to see the country and engage in the culture. I have a goal of traveling 50,000 miles this year and have so far been to (since January) Mexico, Belize, Honduras, Grand Cayman, Germany and upcoming trips include Iceland (next week), Hawaii (Kauai) for two weeks at the end of June, and Orlando, Florida for a week in August and who knows what else in the meantime. There is no way I would be able to do this if I spent as much money as what you expect your trips to cost.
