Ugh I had this on my want to read list and I don't think I will want to read it now. The plot sounded really good but it doesn't sound like the execution was there. One question I have now is if they are so hard to kill (aliens) is how did the slaves kill the masters ? Couldn't the slaves of told them how to kill them without the magical poison? Ummm yeah this would drive me crazy lol.

Love this review and I'm glad that you put down what confused you, I read a lot of historical and I'm kinda of used to the going back and forth of first names and last names lol. Have you read These Viscous Masks? I just adored the heroine so full of sass and wit :)
