I am grateful to be alive. To love, and to be loved in return. To have a computer. To have wonderful online friends, who post marvelous blogs. And that you have come to your senses and realized that you do not belong in that place!
The "interview" did it for me, too!! I knew right then that you were never going to be valued and appreciated there. You have a wonderful future ahead of you, embrace it!! Full speed ahead!
I am always saddened when a person is judged by anything external. It happens constantly. In your case, it is the choices you have made in your body art. Sometimes it is a person's weight, skin color, manner of dress, material possessions--such as the car they drive, etc. Sometimes it is other things, such as an accent. (as a Southerner, it amazes me that people outside the region assume that Southerns are stupid and uneducated because we say things like y'all--it has nothing to do with intelligence, people, it is how we TALK!) I am sorry you had such a disheartening experience. On the upside, do you really want to work in a place like that?? Better to find out from the get-go that it is a company that places emphasis on the wrong things.
Wow!!! I am jumping up and down for you!! What a fantastic buy---and it helps somewhat with the fact that you went over budget with the studio. I love auctions, especially when they turn out like that. As for the little stand, you and I both know you are not going to trash it, you will do something with it, like turning it into an adorable little footstool that will have us all eating our hearts out. Congratulations on your great purchase
Sorry I haven't replied to your sweet reply to my comment about your soap. It is very difficult to get citrus scent that doesn't fade, I never discovered the secret to that and gave up on having citrus soap. But there are so many other things you can do---like a pumice-like hand soap with ground apricot pits! Hope you are having fun with it. Have a great day....Sandra.
Looks like the "baby" is having a relaxing week, too!! It all sounds so lovely. Years ago, I owned a small gift shop, and one of the things I sold was my own homemade soap. It is a real trial-and-error process to figure out how much essential oil to use! Btw, one of my biggest sellers was my "oatmeal cookie soap"---made with oatmeal and cinnamon, it smelled like heaven!! I used goat milk in many of my soaps. It was so much fun trying new things, and the results were amazing.
All that food looks sooo good! I would love to be able to take a hike like that, but who am I kidding? If I was young enough and strong enough, I still wouldn't do it unless it was really cool out. But it SOUNDS lovely!
My yard is horrible. Thank goodness I live in the country, no neighbors to be offended, but it is a terrible mess. We are in a drought, and have had temps well over 100 day after day. Just can't do it, not even cool in the mornings here. Oh, well, It is what it is. Just don't overdo!
Beautiful! My kitchen is similar to what you are describing, it is an old house, only one wall has a couple of closed cabinets, and the rest is open shelving, and various cabinets, etc. I have an old cabinet that I use as an island in the middle. I love it! So much more cozy than the kitchens that are filled with all matching cabinets!!!
