I went to this church before I became an atheist. Several years before this the youth pastor (that has since been fired for unrelated issues) was alleged to have touched one of my friends sexually. My friend was attacked for being a liar and castigated and eventually banned from the church. I knew Gandy, he came to the church a year before I left chrisitanity. Seemed pleasant and nice, then again I'm sure they all do.

Zinn doesn't say that the USSR didn't do that, he's just analyzing the US cynically flip-flopping alliances. It seems that Flynn is incapable of critically analyzing US foreign policy whatsoever.

Also, Flynn seems incredibly naive to think that money doesn't dominate US policy, foreign and otherwise. Yes, it may be tiring that only money and power drives US governmental policy (since the beginning), but why doesn Flynn blame Zinn for merely pointing that out? Shouldn't Flynn be angry at the greedy founding fathers, slaveowners, presidents, CEO's, etc?
