Only when church officials are held accountable for their crimes of cover up, will the sex abuse against innocent children get stopped.
Lets hope that anyone who may have knowledge about this Archbishop, will come forward and contact police.
Silence only hurts, and by speaking up there is a chance for healing, exposing the truth, and therefore protecting others.

There is absolutely no reason why this serial child predator should be given any special treatment. He needs to be kept behind bars and away from innocent children.
Let's hope that any others who may have knowledge or may have been harmed by Robert Poandl, will find the courage to come forward and contact police no matter how long ago it happened. Your silence only hurts. By speaking up there is a chance for healing, exposing the truth, and therefore protecting others.

This is a perfect example as to why the statute of limitations for child sex crimes needs to be removed.
Most victims of child sex abuse are unable to even speak of it until they are much older. By filing a suit, this gives victims the opportunity for their lawyers to enter into the discovery phase, which allows them to subpoena secret archive documents and to subpoena high ranking officials to testify under oath. This helps to expose the child predators, but it also helps to expose those high ranking officials who continue to cover up these sex crimes.
Victims wish for the full truth to be exposed so that no other child is sexually abused. Child predators need to be exposed and kept far away from kids forever.

It takes a lot of courage to speak up and take action about being sexually abused. This is not an easy thing to do, but it is extremely rare that a child predator has only one or two victims. Some have many. It's never too late to come forward about being sexually abused. So let's hope that anyone who may have knowledge or may have been harmed by Fr Jeffrey Newell or anyone in the Tijuana’s Archdiocese, will find the courage to speak up, get help, and contact law enforcement, no matter when it happened.

It appears that Archbishop Robert J. Carlson has been caught in a lie, with a document that proves he did in fact know that child sex abuse is and was a crime. How can he be trusted to tell the truth now? He has plenty of practice in dealing with the sex abuse issue in his priestly lifetime.
And now in the St Louis Archdiocese, we have two allegations of child sex abuse by Fr Jiang , whom Carlson is protecting, rather than taking precautions to protect innocent unsuspecting children today. This callous abuse of power has got to get stopped now. And it appears we can not count on Pope Francis to take any decisive actions to protect kids, so we urge others who may have knowledge or may have been harmed by anyone in St. Paul-Minneapolis, Sioux Falls, Saginaw or the Archdiocese of St Louis to please find the courage to come forward and contact police.
Do not report any abuse to the church officials, they are not the proper officials to be investigating child sex crimes.
Sex abuse thrives in secrecy and secret systems and until this gets stopped children are not safe today.
Silence is not an option anymore, it only hurts, and by speaking up there is a chance for healing, exposing the truth, and therefore protecting others

Plus: The Archbishop expressed regret for "mistakes"?
It is way past time that church officials stop using the word for their wrong doings as "mistakes".. They keep trying to dismiss the severity of their actions of enabling and empowering child sex abusers to abuse more children. These are not a mistakes, these are crimes .
As soon as Archbishop Nienstedt had any suspicion of child sex abuse, he was to report it to law enforcement who are the proper officials to be investigating child sex crimes, not the church officials.
Sadly the sex abuse and cover up within the church hierarchy throughout the world is still going on to this day. Cardinals and bishops are still not removing accused predator clergy, and they are still not reporting to law enforcement. Their so called "zero tolerance" policy is not being followed by the bishops who created it. They don't have to, because there is no punishment to force the bishops to change their ways of protecting their power and the institution rather than protecting innocent children.
Once again we urge outside law enforcement to get involved to stop these crimes against humanity.

It takes a lot of courage to speak up and take action about being sexually abused. It also takes a lot of courage for witnesses to speak up, especially if they have been threatened to stay silent. Also, It is extremely rare that a child predator has only one victim. Some have many. Child predators need to be kept far away from kids forever. It's never too late to come forward about being sexually abused.
So let's hope that anyone who may have knowledge or may have been harmed by Michael W. O'Connel, will find the courage to come forward and contact law enforcement, no matter how long ago it happened. Do not report your abuse to the church officials, they are not the proper officials to be investigating child sex crimes.
Silence is not an option anymore, it only hurts, and by speaking up there is a chance for healing, exposing the truth, and therefore protecting others.
