I'm not attempting to write objectively; this is a blog after all, and I am simply trying to relay information in an entertaining manner. I do more than enough objective writing in my academic papers. I'm sure that vampires come in all shapes and sizes, but the vast majority of self-proclaimed 'vampyres' subscribe to a certain look and lifestyle that is easy to report upon. Go to nearly any vampire blog or informational site- it is most likely to be a color scheme of black and red or black and some sort of bright color. I have been lucky enough to visit a vampire convention, and I must say that there is a definite binding look and vibe that the vampires within subscribe to. I know that many people within this subculture and others are against judgement, but it would be foolish to say that there is no resounding vampire 'look' or stereotype. I didn't write this article in an attempt to rally up hate- everybody has some sort of strange belief worth poking fun at, and it does people good to laugh at them. In this series, I will be covering a large amount of subcultures, some of which I actually enjoy, and I hope that people find them funny and informative instead of taking them to heart and expressing hatred, or becoming offended. As for vampirism itself, I must ask the vampires- instead of attaching the label 'vampire' to yourself, why don't you visit a doctor for your problem? If there is no scientifically known explanation for your condition, then there is a chance that scientists will want to study you and therefore bring your deficiency issues into a more socially acceptable light.
