We waited it out with my son - his teeth only became wiggly when the adult ones pushed them out of the way. Now they have straighted right out and you wouldn't know. So far all of my kids have been late tooth losers!

The little hat and mitts will be just perfect for a new baby! I've had my last 2 babies at home and discovered the same thing you did - oh. We need hats! This is my favorite baby hat pattern, I make loads of them for friends and family and of course my own little ones (http://carinaspencer.com/shop/small-things-bonnet/). I just finished a bigger size for my 1 year old to wear this winter. Happy knitting and baby-incubating!
