So much love to you, Trish! I would make exactly the same decision as you - better safe than sorry - being with your husband and children is the only answer. I can't even begin to imagine all you're going through right now, but I'm sending you all the best wishes and prayers and hopes I can! xx

Went to Japan in 1994 with my dodgy p&s camera. Took photos of wonderful sites - temples and geisha. Got home and realised I couldn't see any details in the shots due to low vision and couldn't 'blow them up' because they'd be blurry. The photos are useless to me.

Reminds me of the first time Dh went away and I had all four on my own for a week and the first night the electrical wire from the house to the street snapped - fun times! This shit only ever happens when they go away!

All these running bloggers are very inspiring - I'm inspired to get out there and walk though, running isn't for me, LOL. Well don't - 8kms seems like a very long way to me!

I totally get this. The problem we've had with our big boy is when we went to have him assessed at the Children's years ago, the assessment time was 15 minutes and he passed some of the categories well (drawing for one, balance for another), then they asked us to fill in forms and have his teacher fill in the same forms and return them. At the time he had a temporary teacher in for 8 weeks while his teacher was on long service leave. This teacher decided, on his extremely limited contact with us and our child, that we were trying to label and medicated our 'challenging child' (so far from it, it was almost a joke, except it wasn't), so he filled in the form in such a way that it contradicted our form... Hence we've had several years of teachers complaining about our child's distractibility, forgetfulness, clumsiness and irresponsibility. I STILL haven't had him reassessed because thinking about the process makes me very anxious. He goes to high school, with all the responsibility that will ask of him, next year.

PMSLing! I keep forgetting this beaut little meme - sadly I don't think I can link my post from today up, unless I went with 'Why can other women in other countries be like us awesome Icelandic women... FFS' LOL - and that might piss a lot of people off.

Greatly anticipating Lord of the Rings Lego, we wait
with baited breathe and heated debate
over who will be Frodo and who will be Sam
and how the game will turn out in the end.

A board quest of a game would settle the score
as children and adults crowd on the floor
around the L.O.T.R. game or even The Hobbit
Imagine the pleasure we'd all get out of it!

Yes, The Hobbit Lego board game, that's the one!
The answer to hours of holiday fun!
Please Lego, do it, make our day
Coz it's Lego with which we ADORE to play!
