I found myself reading the Wikipedia entry about actor George Sanders, and as tragic as it is, I couldn’t help laughing out loud at the phrasing of this section: “Even before his dementia, Sanders had grown increasingly reclusive and depressed due to a string of tragedies including the deaths of his third wife, his mother, and his brother Tom in the space of a year, followed by a failed sausage investment.”

I’ve always wanted to turn the abandoned 91st Street IRT station into a bar, with plexiglass so you can see the trains go by. Better yet would be the City Hall station, but they keep that one closely held. You can check it out, though, by staying on the 6 as it turns around there.

Thanks for your concern, everyone. My knees weren’t that bad, just painful (more than usual) for several days, complicated by the fact that I hurt my ribs falling in the bath trying to soak them in Epsom salts! Not 100% yet, but getting there. The picture was from the summit of Mt. Moosilauke in NH.

I see it worked. In case anyone else experiences this, it didn’t work at first, but I logged out of ID and then back in (actually, Wordpress was logged in the whole time and it logged me back into ID), and that seems to have done the trick. You may come to regret this! 🙄
