Just 3 questions from me:

1) What agenda am I promoting exactly? My initial comment was to Butter, saying that a lot of mechanics were missing (fact) and this information right here in incorrect (fact). That's it.

2) What does that have to this with this convo? But I'll quickly entertain this anyway: Obviously if I've only done 1 video in the last 60 days something is going on with my life. Also, I mentioned in one of my last vids that I did do a video on the coverage but it was too long so I was either going to re-do it or edit it, but I wasn't able to get around to that. Thirdly, it's September now. Please, stop. You're trying too hard.

3) Obviously I've been gone, which would make everything freeze. You're last 2 questions are self-explanatory and don't require answers as they're obvious but you decide to come at me with a sarcastic asshole tone to try to attempt to prove some irrelevant non-existent points.

Your comment has done nothing but show that you simply hate (not in the sense that you want me to die or anything) me [over video games]. It doesn't matter what I do or say, "It's Shokio, so grrrrrrr." Don't take my word for it, look at what you just posted, on THIS article. Look at my comments, talking about SMASH, and you come asking me irrelevant questions. You didn't look at what I was actually saying, your brain just registered the fact that 'it's Shokio and he's talking so let me attack him.' Your first "question" is proof of that.

Francis, get your people.

What is this "every time" people keep talking about? You mean Brawl, which was just one time? Brawl was the first game that discouraged competitive play. People loved 64 and Melee.

What tweaks are you talking about? Have you even played Project M at all? Like, for more than just a day? There's some tweaks done that have out-of-game features like the stage banning and such, but as far as gameplay is concerned, what tweaks are we talking about here? Cause we're talking about mechanics here.

(Oh and my Melee fags comment wasn't about this site. People in-general who get mad at people who want Smash 4 to support competitive play well are usually "Melee Fag" users. And even if some of them don't verbally say the term, you can tell by the way they talk they sure do think it lol)

They are better, competitively. That doesn't mean that EVERYONE is going to love them though. Again (and this is something you guys seem to continually ignore) Brawl had a competitive scene as well, and it was pretty big at one time. And Brawl is waaaay different from PM and especially Melee. So every competitive Smasher out there is not a "Melee fag" as you guys would put it (I don't play Melee, at all). Like I said there's even a Smash 64 scene as well. No everyone is on Melee and PM's dick (although obviously, most comp. players are Melee or PM players)

"Project M is constantly getting updated"

Like I said, that's actually why some people don't like PM.

Project M is literally a mixture of Brawl and Melee....so how exactly will Sakurai not make a game like it, when it's a creation of 2 games he previously made? PM doesn't have anything that isn't in Brawl or Melee, there's no PM-exclusive mechanics. Basically, Project M is a collection of everything Sakurai HIMSELF has incorporated into the Smash games. So technically, he CAN make a game like PM, cause he already kinda has.

Outside of the modified stages, I don't see how the mod ONLY caters to the hardcore. You realize that the entirety of Brawl is still intact, yes? The modes, the items, features, etc are all still there. You can play PM casually if you want. It has silly stages like Rainbow Cruise and Big Blue. If you want to turn the gravity on low, be giant, turn the Smash Ball on and go to Hyrule Temple (Melee) you can do that.

"And if the game isn't for them 100%, competitive Smash players aren't going like it."

Smash 64 wasn't 100% competitive at all and players still enjoyed it, and it's still played competitively till this day. Right alongside Melee.

"So they can just play Project M. Everybody else can play the new games."

Well, that's like saying people should never want to upgrade their PC. Or get a new TV. Or a new cell phone. You can't BLAME someone for wanting to play and enjoy the newest game [competitively]. Some may want to play something fresh. Some may get tired of the older games. Some want to play as the new characters. Some want a good, official online experience.

Smash 4 (or any new sequel in a series in-general), is going to offer things that the older entries don't. That'd be like telling people to stick to the regular 3DS if they're mad about the New 3DS. Naw, they want those exclusive games and C-Stick, it's not that simple.

I replied to Butter, Francis, not you.

And yes.......of course the build is unfinished.......I said that in my video....not that it even needed to be said because of course that goes without saying. Any impression of a demo that someone puts out automatically goes under the "it's unfinished" clause.

Anyways, yes people can play Melee or PM, but of course, naturally, people would like to play the newest entries of their favorite franchise as well. And believe it or not, some people don't like Melee (heavily unbalanced roster, or they got tired of playing it after 13 years, newcomers can't hop in because they'll be too far behind the curve, etc), and some people don't like PM (it's a mod, so it's constantly changing. Some people don't like that and just want a set metagame to develop. People get mad if their character gets nerfed, game can never be officially featured by places like EVO since it's a mod).

No, I played it for 3 days, over 50 times, in 4 minute play sessions lol. Someone wasn't paying attention. Not to mention the Invitational players said the same thing - that a lot of mechanics were missing.

Oh and btw this information is incorrect and was only ever a rumor to begin with. So now everybody's sarcasm here just looks silly.

L-Cancelling is not a "broken mechanic". It was a mechanic put into the game *purposely* by Sakurai, and started off in Smash 64, the very first game.

And it isn't supposed to be a fast-paced fighter? Um, why not? And why was Melee fast, and why is Smash 4 pretty fast itself?

Holy crap that's a lot of text lol.

I hear ya man and you stated a lot of good points, but keep in mind that the Wii was much more dramatically underpowered compared to it's competition than the PS2 was. You're not wrong in what you're saying, your overall point is 100%, I'm just saying it's not the same comparison.

And anyone correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe certain games actually require being on one disc. Splitting a game onto multiple discs can be a technological hurdle depending on the game and what they're trying to achieve with it.

Ew......

Could've swore I saw that it ran the same but looked slightly better on Wii U from Digital Foundry. I must be thinking about something else.

I was talking about things such as cartridges for N64, mini discs for GC, and the Wii being underpowered. Of course, I know the actual architecture of the systems haven't been the problem. I should have clarified though.
