Thanks for sharing. As a Lupus patient myself who wants to get pregnant hopefully in future, this is a very important and useful resource. Thank you!
This is a great list and great idea! 👍
Firstly, congrats again! And great idea to document it :) Secondly, I have antiphospholipid syndrome (I had that before lupus) and also think all pregnant (sick or otherwise) should be tested for it. It’s not difficult to determine, and could save so many lives. I don’t know why they don’g do it :/ Wishing you more ease as your pregnancy goes along! Keep us updated! 😊
Plaquenil does cause light sensitivity (not just the sun, indoor UV lights have the same effect - you probably already know that but just in case!😊) For me plaquenil gives me skin discolouration that look like bruises.
That's weird about the link as it's in english for me. It's Biore sunscreen in a blue bottle anyway. Only sunscreen I use 😉
In any case, you do what's best for you. Hope today is a decent one for you!
I remember being first diagnosed with Lupus at maybe 20, and hating to have to wear sunscreen every day, especially in my country's year round warm, humid climate. I gradually stopped using it and learnt that I'm actually okay in the sun (obviously not tempting it by going out for hours during midday). When I have to go out for longer periods of time, I use this sunscreen, which feels SO MUCH better on skin than other brands I've tried: http://www.kao.com/sg/web/news_files/biorewateryessence.html
Hope that helps a little bit at least. Take care Ava, I hope you will feel a little better soon.
I had no idea you were going through some bad flares..I should have asked more 😞 I'm glad you're hanging in there, and even though I'm not a 'real life' friend, feel free to reach out anytime on anything (even just to bitch or whine 😁). Lots of hugs and rest up.
Great post, loved the well-balanced point of view and respectful tone! This is so true, and the tips are great reminders too!
Good to hear that you're heading off for a holiday, I hope you get to enjoy yourself! And no worries, I think after a while, everyone in the CIB community is in my mind at some point of time as they are somewhat like an online family. Take care, hope you feel better soon, and have fun!
I can relate to just about every single thing on this list :) A big thank you to all our loved ones who are there indeed.
It was good to read this again. Totally know what it feels like to be sick 'behind the scenes'. Keep writing and travelling!
